Deb Finn

She is one who is in love with life!

She feels so fortunate to have chosen another career where she can be creative and possibly make a difference in society with her photographs.  Deb joined the Photography Studies College so she could take professional photographs of the two little girls she had adopted from Ethiopia in 2005 – to record their life with the ambition of producing a book to help fund and support her extended family in Ethiopia.

She never dreamed of having the life she has.  Desperate to leave school at 17, and had no idea what to do with her life.  Still, she applied for a job as a secretary for the Editor of Woman’s Day.  Then she joined 20th Century Fox and Columbia Pictures as a publicist. At the age of 26 Deb decided to go out on her own to open her own business – Debbie Finn Publicity.

Working tirelessly as a publicist for the next 25 years in the showbiz industry and then the corporate arena, she was very fortunate to meet many amazing people on both a personal and business level, and still remain friends with them to this day.

As crazy as the publicity world was, working on location with photographers, stylists and celebrities, she realised she never had time to stop and smell the roses!  Deb had always taken happy snaps to record moments that mattered and that’s why she pursued a career in photography.  But now she has a newfound passion for photography.  In the future and over time Deb would like to make a photographic record of children that have arrived to our shores to make a new life.

Deb is continually amazed at the creativity surrounding us.  It gives her purpose.
